Shadow lay, tangled in quilts and stirring angrily in her sleep. Moving her limbs as though a nightmare danced behind her eyelids, and she mumbled complains behind her clentched teeth. Not every dream was a good dream on her part.

David Hill frowned over at Shadow, appearing furious. Something that happened so very often now a days, as the days that she was his were counting into the hundreds in number. Shadow flinched at his raised hand.

"Bah! Nothing counts as correct for you. You are mediocre, annoying and self serving with the largest ego I have ever had the privilage to see!" Shadow scoffed, fury bubbling and she was slightly shocked to see that he lowered his hand, his face one of calm.

This time he really slapped her. Nothing new, Shadow thought sourly, shooting him a dark glare.

The candles flickered and Shadow stirred slightly, mumbling the sleepy nonsense noises one makes when they had just woken from either a perfectly good dream, or desired far more sleep then was provided. Shadow didn't often sleep, and the only reason she did was when she desired the bliss that sleep gave. Her life in the caravan with Menaezaen was a simple one, and occasionally, when the mood struck her, the two would journey out and find a bit of adventure to partake in. She couldn't explain it, but half way through the memory nightmare she found herself consoled. Turning to her side, she saw why.

A man was beside her, wrapping her up in arms and hugging her close.

Shadow blinked her red glowing eyes in confusion, and woke up completely. She didn't recognise this man. He didn't look like Menaezaen, her little bird whom she had known the company of for a hundred years. Really, she was having quite the hard time recognise anyone, being alone with a bird in the middle of a forest for a hundred years led to that, she supposed.

"Woah, hey!" Shadow exclaimed, eyes wide she scrambled back, untangling herself and managing to become tied in the patched quilts in her surprised panic. "Wait a minute.. Menaezaen?!" Shadow blinked, jumping to that conclusion because though she hadn't seen that face in many, many years, she could still recognise it. Though, the features seemed much.. Kinder, this time around.

LIAR! // Menaezaen Empty Re: LIAR! // Menaezaen

Post by Guest Tue Apr 15, 2014 9:56 am

Menaezaen's eyes drifted to Shadow. She was asleep, which was a first because Shadow barely ever slept. Of course it did not bother Menaezaen, he wanted her to sleep. He, however, could not sleep. There was just too much going on in his mind to just shut it off. Menaezaen was still in his bird form, he did not like to change human unless he either had to or just wanted to for a really good reason. A question jumped to his mind as he ruffled his feathers. Should he be human? Menaezaen wanted to be human more than anything. Shadow was the one that stopped him. It had been years since he was an actual human. He had thought about it, several times in fact. He just couldn't change... Shadow thought he couldn't and he didn't want to ruin that for her. Menaezaen knew that Shadow loved him, not just as a pet but as a lover. Which he didn't mind, he felt the same way but who could ever love a bird?

Menaezaen loosened his foot and jumped off the messy bed. He needed to figure out how he was going to deal with this. Was he going to be a bird or a human? His first answer was, the one he wanted years ago, human. Nevertheless, Menaezaen still leaned towards a bird. What would Shadow think if he was a human again? Would he act like David Hill again or had he changed? Shaking his head, he flew up to a table and sat on down on it. Human, human, human, human! His mind pleded him to change. His eyes drifted back to Shadow. She tossed and turned, as if lost in a horrid dream. A pinch of guilt went through him. He wanted to help. He had to help. There was no way he could just sit here and watch.

Menaezaen jumped down to the ground again. It was finally settled. He was going to turn human and help her. Maybe he could just change back before she woke. He did not let a moment pass before he changed into his human form. His blonde hair fell loosely onto his face as he stood up straight. No surprise crossed his face when he almost fell, it had been years since he was human. Therefore, he found it hard to remember the most simplest of things. He quickly sat down by Shadow, falling on the floor would be the last thing he wanted to happen. Besides, he wanted to be by Shadow.

Laying down softly, he exhaled gently and snuggled up to Shadow. Her body was warm to him which made him feel safe. Next thing he knew, he woke up with Shadow exclaiming something at him. He sat up slowly, blinking the sleep out of his eyes. I fell alseep! Damn it! Think of a plan.... His eyes looked at Shadow, he did not hear the first part of what she had said, but he heard the second. Menaezaen tried to force a smile; it did not come onto his face. Instead, he just looked at her as he tried to think of something to say. "Shadow... I-" Was all he got out before he stood up.

LIAR! // Menaezaen Empty Re: LIAR! // Menaezaen

Post by Guest Tue Apr 15, 2014 6:56 pm

Shadow blinked her glowing red eyes, still a bit in shock. In all truth, she quite had every reason to be surprised! After all, she had been living in the caravan with Menaezaen in bird form practically alone for nearly a hundred years. Only leaving every so often, when the muse for adventure struck her the right way. As time wore on these outings grew less and less common, and as it was it had nearly been a month since an adventure outside the forest. In the beginning, she was quite astounded by any and everything that this world had to show her, but the newity of the world lost it's luster, and others around her left Shadow feeling more and more shy. Thinking only of David Hill and his crimes in fear when she saw those of the same species. Which, of course, wandered the entire planet! So, as such, Shadow and Menaezaen became more secluded. But, she didn't mind.

She'd gotten perfectly used to him as a bird, sure, and the idea of a man siting on her bed was quite a new one. Shadow's mouth gaped slightly, and the blankets and quilts that twisted themselves around her were piled slightly on her head. Choosing this exact minute to fall over her eyes with a soft 'whump' and puft of fine dirt. That was part of the fact of where they lived in the caravan. It wasn't big, it only had room on the floor for one bed of blankets, only to be put away a few hours later for more room. With one shadow woman and a small blue bird, there was room to spare, but with two full grown adults in the cramped space, Shadow noticed just how close they stood to each other. Blankets and quilts drooped off of her shoulders and fell against the ground, tangled up in the woman completely, and she was so surprised with Menaezaen's human appearance, so shell shocked, really, that she kept her solid form instead of morphing to her flat form and having the blankets merely drop from her.

Pushing up the new found hood of a fold of the quilt with the palm of her head, she watched him with eyes of awe.

"You, can morph human..?" Suddenly her entire demeanor changed and she leaned forwards, excited and nearly bobbing at her heels in joy. Laughing she threw her arms around him and hugged him to her tightly, the blankets flew out from her like a cape and settled around her in animated folds. Another fold of the quilt fell over her eyes again, this time hiding a good portion of her features. But Shadow didn't mind.

Her anger had vaporised, and all she could think of was that he had changed, finally. He'd gone from David Hill to Menaezaen in the end! He had stayed!

LIAR! // Menaezaen Empty Re: LIAR! // Menaezaen

Post by Guest Wed Apr 16, 2014 8:56 am

Menaezean looked at Shadow expecting her to shout or scream, maybe even turn him into a bird again. Her reaction, however, was different. Instead of angry, he got excited and happy. How was someone he knew so well so hard to understand? His eyes stared at her when she laughed, he did not know what to make of all this. Why was she even happy? Next thing he knew, she had enclosed him into a hug. The first thing he thought of was it was all just stupid and he should push her away, that was the David Hill side of him. It was a known fact that David Hill was a mean person, he did not care about anyone but himself. A smile crossed his face as he realized just how much he changed since then.

Menaezaen let his arms wrap around her as he thought. The hug ended too quickly for him though, so when she pulled away, he let out a tiny groan. It was his turn to answer, he knew that, there was only one thing in his mind. Should he try to lie? David Hill. That is who wanted him to lie. Menaezaen shook his head roughly, gathering his thoughts. He was not David anymore, therefore, he would do what he thought was right even if it made Shadow hate him.

"Yes... I can, Love. I have been able to for a quite some time... I just didn't know what you would think." Menaezaen explained, keeping his facial expressions on a calm note. He did not want to over do anything, calm was the only way to accomplish that. Moving back a little, he stared at Shadow. She was so attractive to him. Menaezaen thought it had to do with the fact he had been a bird for so long but that was not it. He just really liked her. What was that called? A crush is what most humans called it. Did he really have a crush on his... "owner?"

A whack made Menaezaen noticed that he had fallen off the floor. He did not hear what Shadow had said to him and he did not even know how he ended up on the floor. All he did know was that he was on the floor and it was extremely cold if you are not a bird. "Sorry, Love... what did you say?" Menaezaen forced his weight onto his legs, looking down at Shadow because she is shorter than him. Why was he acting like this? How could he not think straight? Would he ever get over this? Would he be a bird again? These questions bothered Menaezaen. There was only one question that he had answered and knew was true because he was living proof.

He is not David Hill anymore, he is Menaezaen.

LIAR! // Menaezaen Empty Re: LIAR! // Menaezaen

Post by Guest Thu Apr 17, 2014 6:28 pm

It hit her like a brick just how stupidly she acted. Menaezaen seemed very stunned towards her actions and Shadow quite knew why. He thought she'd be furious in the fact that he'd lie to her, not for one moment, not for several, but for a hundred years worth. Or that she'd be concerned with him turning evil like the last time, around seventy years ago when he'd managed to become human once more, and terrorised not only Shadow, but picked up on his old habits of destruction and using her abilities to hide his involvment of such crimes. Backing up, Shadow released him, she'd quite gotten to excited and forgot, of course, that Menaezaen most certainly didn't like that sort of thing. Putting up a blank expression, she sank deeper in the blankets, hooking her arms around the tangles of folds and lifting it over her head. Finally freed, she looked at him, eyes blank and face drawn. No, she didn't care that he'd lied. She didn't care that he had had the ability to morph human, he never was any threat. If things went to the worst, she's just turn him back into a bird once more.

No, she was more impressed with the fact that he'd felt the need to lie. That he had changed so much that hadn't seen the imagined possibility that he could once again force everything back to the way things were over a hundred years ago. And, above it all, he'd stayed. Stayed with herself. Bland as she was, slow as she was, as nameless as she was. He'd stayed.

"Love?" Shadow blinked, eyes bright red, and a smile spilled onto her lips. "yes, that's what it's called. I think I've loved you." He seemed faint, and obviously didn't know what she had said, and he fell to the ground heavily. Before shadow could reach a worried hand out, he was back up on his feet, but Shadow knew her Menaezaen. And he wasn't ready to stand, to act as such, sure. But he wasn't to stand!

Shadow walked over, lightly hugging him from behind and closing her eyes for a moment. Just one moment. Lost in something nice, which was new, and she didn't know why. Breathing in his scent, she leaned her head back from his shoulder and sat down on the caravan flooring, pulling him down with her. Of course, having to use shadows to commit such an act, as by herself she wasn't all that strong. Pulling nearby shadows, they climbed her legs and wound down her arms, to stregthen her. Only after did she realise she'd just pulled him into her lap. But, she didn't have to worry, surely, Menaezaen.. He was soemthing else. She was comfortable around him, and they knew each other so well.

"I didn't say anything, Menaezaen. You shouldn't force yourself to stand." Shadow lied, scolding him slightly for standing and Shadow unlocked her arms from him. When she'd grabbed him, they had latched onto themselves over the front of his chest from behind. Now she released him and she moved back slightly, giving him more room that he would probably desire.

LIAR! // Menaezaen Empty Re: LIAR! // Menaezaen

Post by Guest Fri May 23, 2014 7:47 am

Menaezaen stared at Shadow as she stood up as well. He did not know how to react to anything that was happening to him. Next thing he knew, Shadow had pulled him to the floor and was huggin him from behind. This did not bother him, in fact, he liked the feeling of her hugging him. It made him feel safe, even loved. His hazel eyes stared at the wall in front of him. He just wanted to enjoy this moment for as long as it lasted, then it would get horrible.... what he had to tell her....

Menaezaen moved slightly. The main reason he had changed into a human was to tell Shadow something. Had he done it? No. He had forgotten. His nerves were at easy at the thought that Shadow would understand like she had before. Hearing her speak, made him jump slightly. He did not look at her becasue the guilt in his eyes. Until he could shake it, he could not bare to look upon her. "Are you sure? I thought I heard you say something...." He stated calmly. Her arms unlatched around him and he felt it, that movement made him want to move more into her like a child yurning for their mother's love. How childish he was being, it was a surpise he hadn't slapped himself for such behavor.

"You did not have to move." His voice only allowed him to mumble out the response to the unheard question. Feeling the awkward silence between them, he decided to speak again, probably cutting her off from her sentence he did not hear. "Where are we going to go now?" Menaezaen forced his voice to go higher so Shadow could hear him better. It was a fact that Shadow did not like to hear him mumble, or was that his own rule? He pondered on that single thought before he stood to his feet.

One, two, three, then four times he blinked just trying to rid the guilt in his plain hazel eyes. At this point in time, he did not know why he was so guilty.... maybe he just didn't like to hide things from Shadow. Hiding was yet another trait for David. What would he do... be more like him this once or be himself? This was going to be a hard day for the both of them.....including Shadow.

LIAR! // Menaezaen Empty Re: LIAR! // Menaezaen

Post by Guest Sun Jun 01, 2014 7:03 pm

"No, nothing direly important." Shadow dismissed such things, smiling slightly to herself and speaking softly. Something.. Seemed wrong about him, he didn't hold her eye when she glanced towards his way, and he moved as if uncomfortable with her very presence. Shadow blinked, and watched him silently.

Had.. He changed.. And.. Blamed her?

Did, he hate her? Shadow felt hollow, a ripple ringing through her core coldly. Shadow heard her next phrase as if she were deep in water and the words were spoken from far above. Her red, glowing eyes flickered, Shadow looking down at her own feet, showing nothing of her thoughts outwardly.

Everything just got so confusing. Now that he was human, she felt that her world had shifted beneath her feet. If she told him of her fears, and they were unfounded, what would he accuse her of? Would that be the last straw? Shadow felt shamed, suddenly, as if awaiting scolding for morphing him into a bird form for so many years. He had merely been patronising her by staying by her side, as a bird..

Shadow despised thinking such cruel thoughts about Menaezaen, she longed for things to be back to their normal. The same normal that had brought her comfort for over seventy years, was now a distant memory, it seemed.

"Do, we have to go somewhere else?" Shadow mused, doing her best to push such confusing, tangled thoughts out of her mind that held her in such a tight grip.
