Personality:
Julian is a charming, confident, flirty and yet loyal man. While he may flirt a lot with beautiful women, he would never cheat on his girlfriend, if he was in a relationship. He is a man of honor and actually quite a gentleman if he wants to be. 
However, when it comes to his work Julian is extremely mission-orientated, meaning that he would let nothing come in the way of him completing his mission. Those are the times when he actually isn't as charming, unless it helps with his task. When sent on a mission, he can be stubborn, which isn't really one of his good qualities. It will take a lot of patience and reason to get him to realise that maybe he needs a different approach to a certain task. 
Still, Julian remains cool under fire, which adds to him as a natural leader. And as a leader of a team, he always makes sure to complete his mission with as little losses as possible. While sometimes death of a team-mate isn't avoidable, Julian would rather go into the line of fire himself to protect a comrade. Although in his personal life he hates sacrifices. 
Julian can hide his intentions, thoughts and feelings very well, if he has to, like when he's playing poker. That is actually where he learned that skill and he can relate to it in any situations that he wants to, making it hard for others to read him. Which adds to his skill as a leader, when he's on a mission, because enemies may not foresee his plans by a simple look at his face. However, when he puts that face on outside of a mission, it is not always a positive trait.

While Julian is tough and confident in his outward behaviour and when on the job, there are things that get to him - like the loss of a comrade, or when someone hurts his pride. That softer of side of him, is something that he keeps to himself though. Only those he trusts will ever see him in a weak moment. 
Julian manages anger pretty well, when he is on a mission, mostly by channelling that anger into his task, using it as extra strength to complete the job. But when it is something more personal, outside a mission, he does have a bit of a temper. However, he rarely takes it out on anyone, unless he is really pi**ed off. Mostly though, He would just fight off his anger with words, or simply go to the gym or for a run or anything else that helps him blow off steam. Unless, of course, he is being physically attacked. Although he is actually not that easily upset.

In his time off, Julian enjoys spending time with friends, like having a beer with them, or just talk while playing pool or poker. When Julian isn't practising, on a mission or with friends, he likes to stay in and cook, which he learned from his mother and does rather well. Sometimes he even cooks for co-workers or friends, if he has enough time to do so.

History:
Julian's parents met when they were both going to university in Melbourne, Australia. Dean was studying agriculture with the plans of running his own farm in Australia one day. He grew up on a cattle farm his mother was working as a cook at. He had been a farm hand most of his young life, until he graduated from High School and moved back into the city to study. 
Andrea Hall was studying veterinary medicine and wanted to become a vet, working somewhere close to a couple of farms that she could then tend to. She was stepping into her father's footsteps who was a vet in Alexandra already.

Dean and Andrea met in their second year at a party one of the popular students was hosting and they just hit it off right away. Their relationship started as a friendship first, but within six months it evolved and they actually went out on a dinner date in Melbourne. Throughout the rest of their time at the university the two of them became inseparable and their relationship was really close and loving. 
While Andrea was finishing her studies a little later than Dean, he was working at a shop in the city while he was looking for a job on one of the farms nearby. Andrea was finishing her hands-on training at a vet office in Melbourne before she joined the practice her father ran in Alexandra, Queensland. Dean soon found a job on a farm close to Alexandra, so the couple still managed to be together. It didn't take long before Andrea moved in with Dean, who occupied a small bungalow on the property he was working on. 

About a year after they moved back to Alexandra, Dean proposed to Andrea and half a year later the happy couple got married. They lead a busy life for the first couple of years, until Dean was made co-owner of the farm they were living on. The owner, an old man without any children, gave his farm to Dean after he died just two years after Dean became his partner. 
Later that same year, Julian was born. 

Julian was born on July 27 in 1980 in Alexandra District Hospital as Julian William Reynolds. For the first few weeks, doctors were a little worried about the little boy, because he was a little premature and not as strongly build as other babies. But he caught up quickly, showing that he was a strong, healthy baby boy, even though he was born 2 weeks premature. Julian was sent home with his mother after two weeks in the hospital. He proved to be a strong boy as he grew up. He barely ever caught a cold when he was little. 
Dean and Andrea had moved into the farm house, after the ownership was officially theirs and the first four years of his life, Julian grew up with John Gryffin, son of a farm hand, who also lived on the property. He was just a year older than Julian was and the two boys grew up like brother's, becoming best friends throughout their childhood. 

Julian was 4 years old, when the twins Sydney and Adam were born, October 1984. At first the little boy was a little jealous, because the new babies got more attention that he got, but he learned rather quickly that he had no reason to be jealous. The change happened when little Sydney got the whooping cough at just 2 months old and had to stay in the hospital. 
After Sydney was okay again, he would always protect his baby sister, no matter what. 
Adam and Sydney were pretty close as they grew up, which was to be expected with twins. They did have their differences but the siblings, including Julian of course, always stuck together. Nothing could come between them, or break them up. And Julian would be very protective of his younger siblings, especially as they grew older and went to school.

At some point during his teenage years though, Julian got into a fist fight with another pupil at his High School, because he was picking on another girl. At first that was no big deal, but when it kept happening a little more often, his parents sent Julian to an anger management course, where he then learned to channel his anger into strength to do other things, like sports. 
Not long after that, Julian also trained to become an  arbitrator for his High School, so that instead of getting into fights, he'd be helping to solve them. Rather with words than with violence of course. 

He was about 15 when Julian got his first guitar and actually took lessons at school. It showed rather quickly that he had a talent for the instrument and he got better rather quickly. At the age of 16 he joined the school band, staying with it until he graduated a year later. He was playing the guitar and singing occasionally, too. But after he graduated from High School, the guitar became a hobby for his little spare-time that he had left. He would only play for himself, or for family occasions, but that was about it. 

Growing up on a cattle and sheep farm, Julian learned to ride at a very young age. He was 6 years old when he got his first riding lesson from his mother and as soon as he was able to handle a horse, his father took him along when he went to check on the farm each morning before the little boy was taken to school. Riding was one thing that Julian channelled his anger into, after he took those Anger Management classes. And he would go riding quite a lot, and he'd become a very good rider, too.  Sometimes he would go on his own, sometimes he'd take Sydney with him. Adam on the other hand, wasn't such a good rider. He'd rather stay at the stables and take care of the horses and the work there, but he wouldn't go out for rides that much. His interests lay with their mother's job, which Adam later studied for.

It was with Sydney, that he actually came into an adventure on a horseback. They were out riding through the fields of the farm, when they came into a thunderstorm and had to head back home quickly. However, close to the farm, they came by puddle of mud and noticed that a little lamb was caught inside, not being able to free itself. Its mother was standing nearby, calling out to her lamb. So, in the pouring rain, with thunder and lightening around them, Sydney and Julian helped that little lamb out of the puddle and took it and its mother back to farm house with them, saving the lamb's life.

After Julian graduated from High School, he moved to Melbourne to study Medicine, his original plan to become a doctor. During his time at the university, Julian got into Archery. He actually took part in a national competition once and made second place, which made him rather proud. 
However, that might have been when he caught SHIELD's attention, the first time. However, he wasn't approached until he was on a study trip in London. Back then, only 23 years old and in the middle of his studying, there was a strange attack on the city and he was actually one of the few people who stayed behind and helped the injured. It was then that he used his archery training in self-defence for the first time and actually killed one of two aliens. After that, he was approached by SHIELD and eventually decided to join them, even though it meant being so far from his home and family.

He's been with SHIELD for almost 10 years now, climbing up the ranks during that time and practising his skills whenever he could. And he turned out to be extremely mission oriented, letting nothing come in the way of completing his task. 

Now, as a senior agent for SHIELD, he recently took responsibility of the training and protection of Junior Agent Ron Stoppable. Although he heard quite a bit about the young man not being that agile, it is his goal to teach Ron the best he can do and help him become a good Agent for SHIELD. And he likes Ron and his little pet, Rufus.
