The world had gotten along fine without her, of course it would. Winter didn't fit into the world, and as soon as she was gone the world simply repaired itself. Others leapt forwards to protect the world, just as an army stepped foward to destory it. Winter quite loved travelling through time, and wasn't shy about that fact. Winter's teeth were sharpened and triangular, like a shark's and anytime she spoke or parted her lips in the slightest the tips would show. They weren't meant for beauty, weren't meant to lure in a kill, they were meant from ripping the captured human apart.

A human hunt, that was what it used to be called. Where all of the futurekind would rush forwards in a hunt of a stray human either rejected or unable to get to Silo 16 in the end. Winter wasn't what the Futurekind considered 'vegetarian' and had aquired a taste for human flesh. She couldn't afford to be picky about food, there wasn't enough to go around and those who couldn't fight for their food, were food for someone else.

Winter had always wanted to go to Rome, back in time to when it had just been created and wasn't anything like the one that was found now a days. For now, however, she appeared in the middle of london, dizzy, stumbling and swearing profusly at her vortex manipulator. Popping her shoulder (Time travelling without a capsule was hard on your back and shoulders) Winter groaned and stood up straighter. Winter wore boots that were black and came up mid thigh, buckles along the left leg held a leather sheath in place and an iron hilt decorated with a few red gemstones and with black runes. The heels were daggers, and beneath it she wore grey tights. Over top, she wore a one peice black peice of clothing that wrapped around her torso, showing a bit of cleavage and running up her leg. The bottom climbed her hips and the holes for her legs stretched into her sides slightly. It was plain, black, tight and sheek. Over top, a light grey and buckled coat covered her arms in long sleeves and the bottom draped upon the ground slightly. Moving as of cloth, it was incredibly hard, like plate mail instead of acting like normal cloth.

Something she'd picked up from somewhere nearby, of course. She wore white gloves that came up to her elbows, not that many could tell, as the grey over coat covered it completly and the gloves were skin tight, leaving her fingers and hands featureless but slender. Over top of the black one peice was a white black skirt that had peices of wire climbing up Winter's form to come into a complicated design around her neck. The skirt did not move, as it was made of plate mail, and stayed out in a fasion that it had been spread. The center had been removed, and it only slightly spread out to the sides of winter's hips. Black, gold and red combined across her neckline to a red stone that was shaped as a heart and framed in black wires.

Putting her gloved hands on her hips, winter sighed.

This was not Rome, instead it was just the middle of london. What would it take for her to finally get to rome? Nearly ten thousand years of travelling, and she'd not once visited Rome! It was just her luck!

All Roads Lead To Rome // Charlotte Lynch Empty Re: All Roads Lead To Rome // Charlotte Lynch

Charlie had decided to take a break from her life of being a partied out hermit in her flat and thought it would be best to try and get some fresh air since she would have to start going on missions with the X-Men again pretty soon. Groaning lightly as she walked out the door, she wasn't quite sure what she wanted to do. She had been here for nearly six months and she still didn't know her way around very well.

Looking around for a long moment, Charlie was dressed in a large sunhat, a white blouse with a pair of blue, tight capris with tan, laced flats. Her sunglasses were a bit too large for her head and slid down her nose often, but she had the instinct to constantly push them back up. Carrying her handbag over her shoulder, she looked around for a moment and wondered where she was planning to go.

"Okay, way too many people," she murmured to herself as she looked around and began to walk. There were crowds and crowds of people within the streets and this was all a bit too much. She liked parties, but when people were just passing by and didn't give a damn about whether they bumped into you or not, it was a bit annoying. Accidently bumping into someone as she had attempted to turn around, she gasped. "Ugh, I'm so, so sorry. There are just so many people and I'm not used to it...."

Someone pushed into her, obviously stumbling in the crowds. Blinking, Winter slid her feet out into a firmer stance, and didn't stumble in turn. Looking back, she tilted her head at the woman, curious at just who hid behind those overly large sunglasses. Resisting the urge to take them off of the woman, lean down and shout 'Peek a boo' Winter simply responded to the woman's response. She was quite a beautiful human, curves and quite obviously a likable personality. Only a loved person would be so confident as to bump into a stranger, apoligise, and stand for a conversation.

"A common mistake, believe you me. It quite seems that everyone bumps into another at some time or another." Winter mumbled, holding her wrist in front of herself, her slender fingers pulling apart the panelling and resetting the coordinates. Lights flashed, and the complicated wires were in a collected tangle. Grumpily, Winter quite wondered why her vortex manipulator never worked.

When the woman had spoken, there was a bit of a formal turn in her voice, as if she was brought up from a proper family or had been living in the 19th century. Looking at the woman, she didn't really see much to be incredibly formal to her appearance at all though. She had a pixie cut that was white, but she was obviously very young in appearance. Beautiful eyes and a very interesting outfit to say the least. It was pretty cool to her, and she grinned at her sense of style as she then took off her sunglasses to get a better look.

She then noticed a strange device that was strapped to the woman and she seemed to be quite frustrated with it. She wasn't quite sure what it was, but she did know that there were a ton of agents around who were wearing them, mostly if they were associated with the EMH team or SHIELD. "So are you an agent then?" she asked curiously as she peered at the device quickly, and then looked back up at the woman. "I see a lot of people with similar devices around and I'm not quite sure what they are. I'm new around here, haven't been around since I was a small girl."

"Me? An agent? Oh, no." Winter laughed, disconnecting and reconnecting a few more wires. A green light flashed back, claiming that the manipulator was back online. Though, she really didn't trust the blinking light upon it's word. Her vortex manipulator had a history of dragging her across the universe when she really just wanted to go somewhere specific. It would even tell her that it was online, then take the oppertunity to shock her. Or to do any number of crazy nonsense, to drive her completly insane.

So, she didn't trust the machine. To say the least.

Holding up the vortex manipulator strapped to her right wrist, Winter put on a small smile. She wanted someone to travel with her, that was for certain. She'd been traveling for the longest time by her self. Another's conversation, another's precense would be most welcome. She still had not gotten over her last companion, a man she'd grown to love named Tahras. Charming, loving Tahras.

"This is something called a Time Vortex Manipulator. I use it to travel throughout space and time..." Winter stopped, as a new thought came to mind. "Do I frighten you?" Winter tilted her head. She knew that humans were such fragile little things with their emotions. And her triangular and sharp teeth were not helping the situation at all. She was an alien, and though she seemed quite human in appearance. She was far from it.

There was far more to her, then met the eye.

And this woman, the one hiding behind the sunglasses, and the large sun hat was more then met the eye as well. Something new. Something rare. Something, obviously treasured by those she met.

How fortunate she was.
